(5 Key Tips) by Rayane https://www.indietraveller.co/learning-spanish-in-latin-america/#comment-129592 Wed, 15 Jan 2025 17:19:22 +0000 https://www.indietraveller.co/?p=142#comment-129592 Hi, love this post that helped me, I went to Colombia Medellin for learning spanish and was a great experience. I changed schools twice but I spending 3 months in total was great to be able to speak a good spanish:
– OLSA: https://www.olsainternational.edu.co/ (been there mainly for language exchanges)
– OlaLingoCampus: https://olalingocampus.com/ (I also took online classes with Olalingo after it (https://olalingo.com/).
– Totalespanish is also a greate school.

I think that you have plenty of choices there, for other cities, I have to check it when I will go there.

You’ve just introduced me to the term herping which I’d never heard before! I’m afraid I don’t know such specific tours, so this is perhaps a question for the herping community 🙂

Do you know of any tours that include some herping on them aswell?

To be honest I’ve never noticed burning season on any of my Asia trips. But I know people living in e.g. Chiang Mai in Thailand talk about it a lot. Maybe I’ve just been lucky to avoid it. Simon (who’s also a contributor to my blog) did a great post about it on his blog here.

Comment on How To Explore Flores, Indonesia (Komodo & Beyond) by Marek https://www.indietraveller.co/flores-komodo-travel-guide/#comment-129518 Sun, 12 Jan 2025 12:55:03 +0000 https://www.indietraveller.co/?post_type=destination&p=83608#comment-129518 In reply to Marlene.

Hey Marlene. The main road is in great condition. Smaller side roads may be potholed from time to time but nothing extreme that I remember. You could drive Badjo to Ende in about 3 days if you’re just doing a few hours of driving every day plus sightseeing stops. I would probably dedicate a full week to west Flores so you have time to explore and also return the same way back.

How are the road conditions?

Congratulations on your blog. I thought I read that you were in the north of Laos in the months of February/March… what is the burning season like? In some places I read that it is a waste to go at that time. 🙁

A large number of expats (from western and eastern countries) have relocated to Saranda, on the Greek border. We offer monthly apartments here at local prices, if you’d like to take a look at them or the city, photos at https://digitalalbania.wordpress.com
